The split was much closer before someone finally woke up in the 4th quarter and started putting ETN in the game. It shouldn't be close at all when the game is in the balance. There is no excuse for seeing Fuller or Choice on the field in the first half. I could get it if they were on the same level as Feaster/ETN, but they clearly aren't close.

Perfect example is when we fumbled the second time on the goalline. No doubt in my mind that ETN or Feaster bursts through that hole for a TD on the previous play instead of getting tackled at the 1. Same shit happened on the second drive in Syracuse. Choice got tackled on a play that Feaster or ETN would have housed from 30 yards out. I think we wound up missing that FG, though I could be mistaken. I know we didn't score a TD.

I didn't see FSU putting in their third string RB in the first drive. Granted, they abandoned the run altogether, but I don't notice many teams getting cute when they have clearly defined stud players who have elevated themselves.

No, I get it. I’ll counter by saying that our backs sure looked fresh in the 4th quarter (they rushed for 91 yards in the 4th).

Guess I’d have a bigger problem with it if we weren’t averaging 220 rushing yards per game or losing.

How'd everyone like the Davis twins in at the same time on FSU's 4th down play ith 2 minutes left?

There was no excuse to be in a dogfight with a terrible FSU team in the fourth quarter. Put those fuckers on ice in the first half and then run the third and fourth stringers all you like in the second half. Granted, some of that was on the defense, but I don't recommend keeping the best players on the sideline when the game is in the balance.

I respect your viewpoint, but I don’t think lack of production at RB due to subbing Choice/Fuller for 1/4 of our offensive snaps is what’s holding the offense back.

Does it because I feel like it was evident enough during the game that saying it once is better.

Our fucking self scout on offense is horrendous.

Elliot is the better of the two so we'd have to axe him and bring in somebody new above Scott and just not sure if he'd be happy with that. Dabo has so much to balance

I will say that Etienne has surpassed Feaster as a blocker, at least in pass pro.

Just got home. My gut reaction response is that the offense isn't exactly executing, but Tony Elliott is becoming less and less attractive by the week.

I thought choice and fuller ran ok.

Wilkins is coming to life. Flashed a bunch the last 2 weeks.

A good coach would've taken more advantage of Davis at lb. He doesn't get sideline to sideline like Joseph.

Game was fluky close. We don't fumble twice at the goal line and drop the wide open deep ball we win by a bunch.

In retrospect and without anger it may not be Elliot so much as how limited Bryant is and the other 2 aren't ready since this can be a banner year .

Bryant may be our best option this year but that may change quickly next year

Bryant missed some throws but Cain dropped a 60 yard td that makes this 38-13 and no one complains

If Art or Kendall Briles was our OC...We'd win the NC this year.

We should hire Art as a consultant on the low to self scout us and develop a passing game.

FSU missed throws as well namely the 4th and 2 and the long overthrow down the sidelines. Both of those were TD with good throws and catches.

Can’t just give us points on our miscues, but not on there’s.

ETN needs to be back number 1 and Cain needs to sit his ass on the bench.

It's not that Cain isn't talented or that he can't help us win, but he is actively hurting us right now. He has not made a single catch this year that Overton couldn't have and if Overton makes even a single catch that Cain hasn't, it's an immediate gain.

I don't know if his head isn't in it or what, but he's a net detriment to our offense at this point. I say sit his ass for El Cid and let him think about it.

Bryant hasn't had many turnovers. But we're also not putting him in pressure throws.

He looks terrible sometimes. Then he hits renfrow for 3rd down on the money.

Just not sold that Elliot is a problem. We're doing what we can with what we have.

    Etn needs the damn ball.

Are you implying that having a social media team with a laptop on the sideline is the same as rewarding a player for intentionally injuring an opposing player? One of these things is not like the other.

Elliott is a problem in that our offense is completely unoriginal in scheming to cover our weaknesses and take advantage of our strengths. Our running game is as vanilla as it gets, and we do nothing to get ETN in space.

Agree. Despite our injuries in secondary we still won while giving up plays that should have been tds they failed to execute.

We should honestly consider ourselves lucky. Bryant is a super limited qb so hard to blame him.

We're obviously throwing screens galore to get something over the top but Cain doesn't have the glue hands of previous ones. If you review the play calling it's not great but our players helped fuck it up s lot

The problem with our offense, imo, at least since the bye, is that we get ahead and then try to force a deep bomb until the game gets close again. Neither Bryant or Cain has managed to make that work

Kinda feel like Bryant is a less talented runner with less vision than dantzler but with a better pure deep ball. He's got more weight behind him though to push pile forward

Agree Cain hasn't helped but imagine if dantzler had this crew vs what we had back then

Still think we have more pass yards, more ptds and more total offense

Bryant is nowhere near Dantzler in terms of vision or agility. He's really big and fast straight ahead, and hes ok as a passer by college standards.

He winds up to throw, he hesitates on decisions, and he's not always accurate.

But that also pretty much describes Rosier, Hurts and Wimbush

I said less vision but agree everything else.

He probably has a stronger arm but does have the a longer get off point.

He's bigger than hurts but that's legit all he has on him

Just makes you appreciate what Deshaun did for us that much more. Bryant has been better than expected but the last month he’s regressed and his deep throws are just not good. Can we please just get Etienne 25 touches in a game and see what he’ll do.
