Liam is one of the best rockstars of all time. A fucking treasure. I've seen Oasis live several times over the last 25 years and still love them plus the other Noel/Liam offshoot bands and projects.
Still remember reading the Rolling Stone cover piece on them when I was a student at Clemson. Liam tells a story about how some groupie who blew him got paid money by one of the British tabloids to talk about him. He says something to the effect of "she got money to talk about me, but I just came in her gob, so that's 1-1, baby."
Can't wait to listen to the new solo album. Some great quotes from Liam:
On Mumford & Sons
On Chris Martin
On England’s football team
I tried to quit my vices and I did quit all of them but alcohol. I'm surrounded by coke whores tonight and I don't want that at all but I can't quit drinking. I guess I need to check in. They're so beautiful and willing and wanting. I now realize how much easier poor people have it. My decisions can kill people. Poor people's can't
You’ve got it really hard, dude. That’s the cross you have to bear.
I feel for you, and the temptations that the mere mortals, like yourself, have to face
This wont get much attention I'm sure:
CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) —
The student senate at Clemson University has voted to impeach the student government's vice president, a black man who recently refused to stand during the Pledge of Allegiance.
News outlets report that the vote was 40-18 Monday to impeach vice president Jaren Stewart, setting up an impeachment trial.
Student Senator Miller Hoffman introduced the impeachment resolution, citing alleged misconduct. He denied that the motion was motivated by Stewart's pledge protest, or his race.
Clemson, in South Carolina, says its student body is 83 percent white and 7 percent African-American.
Stewart and other students sat through the pledge at a student government meeting on Sept. 25, in solidarity with NFL players protesting police brutality and racial oppression.
That level of consensus on the vote does make me wonder if the guy just sucks.
As a black guy, I just don't understand sitting down for the pledge or anthem.
I also don't understand being upset at someone exercising their rights differently than me.
With that said, 'protesting ' the pledge / anthem accomplishes nothing. You've got to go out in the community and show folks how to interact with police officers and you've got to work with police officers to show them that a human life is a human life. Let's treat everyone with respect and dignity
If you're willing to complain you've got to be willing to complete the necessary work that comes with finding a solution.
Interested in hearing more about this.
Edit: These assholes sound like such hardos:
So, he snitched on himself?
No that last excerpt is regarding a separate, closed impeachment hearing. This vote was only to have the hearing, he hasn't been impeached yet. I'm just saying these kids take this student government way too serious.
He was fired as an RA after being accused of theft, trespassing, strong-arming, intimidation, and sexual harassment with two female students on his hall.
So, he sat for the pledge and then people look for a way to get him out and found a solid reason?
Or maybe he was being impeached for all that other stuff and then sat for the pledge to try and create a shitstorm about race.
I’m just giving you a hard time and being contrarian. I didn’t read anything about it so I honestly have no idea on the timing of the two situations.
Just read the article and that's a pretty shitty way of getting back at him for sitting during the pledge.
Just for others skimming the thread:
He sat for the pledge on Sept. 25.
FITSNews leaked the allegations of misconduct on Oct. 3rd.
Hoffman first started this impeachment stuff on Oct. 9th.
Leave it to FITSNews to create a scandal out of fucking student government.
Why the hell does will folks care about the student govt at clemson enough to put an article on his site
He will do anything to make anyone look shitty
I'm the black guy that played craps with you after the natty.
We went over this in the natty thread.
He mentioned this before, in fact someone jokingly called him Mr. Clyburn
I've always assumed you're Tajh Boyd. You and I shook hands at Publix recently.
Think I remember you. Golf dude? Finished a renovation recently?
I knew it!
Story is popping nationally now
I'll send the invoice your way.

This reminds me. I signed some poor kids Jersey at TD'S one night bc he thought I was on the team. I told him I wasn't. He didn't believe me. I signed my real name. I hope I see it on ebay one day.
ABC, Washington post, and nyt all have it. Uh oh.
No, he's former user DutchTiger
Thanks for the clarification Mr Tram III
Pretty much the least surprising thing I've heard today. Warranted or not. How could you not see this ultimately getting picked up nationally by the news? This is pretty much the perfect news piece.
