They're paying $300,000 for a guy to tell all their players to leave school.
Too much money in CFB when positions that really shouldn’t exist in the first place get paid $300,000 for what a person with a master degree in a similar counseling position would receive $60,000.
He would almost come off disingenuous if he told the kids to come back if they knew anything about him.
I want to say he got the insurance policy for never playing in the NFL too. You have to give it to him, he landed on his feet better than most running backs that have a career in the NFL.
Is his job the same as Jeff Davis’?
Yeah I like Lattimore and think in a lot of ways he's a good role model for their players, but beyond that he's not particularly qualified for much. Maybe he would have been 10 years from now?
He has no professional experience, he has very little family experience. He's never even lived outside the state of SC. What's he gonna expose their kids to?
His story seems to be about losing his career to injury, and then having not just USC but the entire state and SEC rally around him, and then having Gamecock boosters pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars afterwards just because.
Yeah, but he visited a children's’ hospital that one time, which makes him a first ballot shoe-in for sainthood.
Don’t forget Stone Mountain hike. A feat no mortal can achieve.
haha.....for some reason this made me laugh really hard.
Fuck this guy
"I'll be here to help with transition".
Make sure you never miss a day of rehab, get ensured, and having three solid sources on your resume is a must.
I wonder when they will create "The Cock Journey" in order to make the imitation complete.
Somewhere someone in Columbia is already getting that tattooed on their chest.
Should be great for recruiting.

They must have alot of money to convince a kid to turn down millions.
That, or threatened their families in some way if they didn't return...

Wouldn't surprise me if it comes out there is someone on the draft board that purposely makes sure these guys get lower draft grades than what they should really get to make sure they come back
Living rent-free in the head of that entire fanbase
Damn we run the NFL's draft advisory board as well. Clemnati running the world
Can his knees handle this?
Will Marcus get to run out with team to 2001?

Please God, YES. Would be an emotional deal...
bold move cotton
Someone get Marcus some scissors or something for his chin. Shit looks nasty.
Impressive way to recruit talent. Tell them the nfl is pointless and show them a broken down shell of a football player as their life coach
"If you want to go to the NFL and earn a degree from a top tier, Top 25 university, go to Clemson. If you want to earn your degree at a 3rd tier university and get a job pumping gas (am I right Lane?), come to SCar."

Which is the better sales pitch?
Marcus is here to ensure your sons success on and off the field which help them long after their playing days are over....even the best nfl players retire at 35...
Marcus is here to ensure your sons success on and off the field which will be vitally important bc the nfl is a pipe dream and only 4% of college players make a career out of the nfl
Or C - Come to Clemson and don’t worry, NewSpring will pay for everything
Dabo does a great job of filtering the information these guys receive, and spinning it in order to convince them to come back.
His job is to win at Clemson. He's willing to risk these guys to win. It might pay off for them. There is also a chance for disaster.
Good god. They’ll believe anything they make up.
We have a guy who says "I won a national championship here. I played in the NFL. Here's why you need to be prepared for life beyond football. Let me hook you up with this Adobe internship."
They have a guy who says "Your coach will use you up. You'll never make it to the NFL. Here's a Zesto's application."
Yet another thing they copy from us, only worse. They never disappoint.

I would think it really would depend on how the church handles the money. If they accept it like a normal donation and then transfer it to different account, say their "community outreach program" or something to actually pay it out, then there is probably not too much trail to the average eye and the donor could write it off. Now, if the FBI got their forensic accountants involved I am sure they could find it without too much trouble.
This is amazing

They all can say what they say but all can change there mind! Don’t they still have some time to make that decision anyway? I really think Bryant is the one that needs to rethink that decision because he is pron to getting hurt and with the QB situation and competition coming in he needs to go while he can make some money. Because he is one injury away from the sixth round of death. On the other had that could be a blessing In Discuse. I mean Brady was a third to sixth rounder and now he s considered the best QB on the planet! Hey either way this is how yabadabadoby aka wonder mouth (boy) has had all of his success in the last 3-4 years pay and stay!
I sure hope they don’t change there mind.
