    Thread Icon TBD.

Let's share stuff we find on Netflix.

Just finished watching WWII from space. Pretty fucking interesting. They basically cover all of WWII in about 1 hr 45 mins. They add in a lot of great graphics, overhead photography, and great data visualization throughout. If you like WWII shit it is a must. Doesn't get too deep into stuff more of a highlevel overview of the war from day 1. Found it really interesting.

Another one I watch a few months ago that was great was Vietnam in HD. I'm in my 20's so Vietnam was never really taught in our history classes growing up. This series really went into the who war from start to finish. I learned so much. It was great. Hope it is still on Netflix.

I feel like this is a pretty obvious choice but I always highly suggest Sherlock to people. One of my all-time favorite shows (a slight step below Arrested Development, Happy Endings and Community).

Daredevil is really good even if your not into the whole super hero comic book thing, very dark and gritty as opposed to the popcorn summer movie for everyone stuff in the Avengers and Captain America Realm.

Love watching myth hunters. The narrator's voice is like crack to me. I mean, most of the episodes are weird stuff, but i'm entertained while watching.

I basically bounce between Bob's Burgers, The Office, Scrubs, and Arrested Development.

I did really enjoy the show An Idiot Abroad.

Bojack Horseman is my latest watch. Pretty damn funny. It's a Netflix original.

Will give pretty much any of their originals a shot.

    Have also seen and enjoyed

    House of Cards
    Orange Is The New Black
    Daredevil
    Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
    Peaky Blinders
    Chef's Table

They're putting out a lot of great stuff.

Enjoyed The Fall, Luther, Broadchurch. Marco Polo wasn't remotely historically accurate, but was a good watch.

My son has introduced me to a couple animes...not really my thing, but Attack on Titan and Blue Exorcist were both good.

Cocaine cowboys reloaded is phenomenal. It's an extended version of the first one, just with all the cut out scenes. Awesome documentary of the cocaine trade and smugglers/dealers in the early 1980's telling their stories and what they did to get get it over here. Goes into great detail about the money killings etc.

    5 star watch

Netflix also jumping on the stand up comedy Jim Jeffries and Bill Burr specials are both good stuff, if you missed Legit on FX it's also on Netflix and it's hilarious.

One Netflix Original that hasn't been mentioned yet is Hemlock Grove, kinda a demented Eli Roth version of Twilight, some of the teenage angst is a little over the top at times but it's worth a watch if you're into a darker more horror oriented show.

Wallander (Kennth Branagh Version) and Hinterlands were both good series Dark Brooding Detective Dramas.

Longmire got picked up by Netflix from A&E and Season 4 will debut in September. Good show based on a great series of books about Wyoming Sheriff Walt Longmire.

One of the best things about the cord cutting and the rise of streaming is that these streaming services can go out and save a show that networks dump because it doesn't fit thier demo or some nonsense. Cult following shows or critically acclaimed shows that never had a chance due to shitty time slots or marketing can get a decent run or at least ave their story finished.

Really hope this happens with Hannibal, but not too optimistic. NBC has the deep pockets to settle the copyright litigation (or whatever it is going on), not sure Netflix does or would. Netflix may actually be richer than NBC these days for all I know.

i keep hoping that Battlestar Galactica Blood & Chrome would get picked up by Netflix. The four season remake of BGS was a favorite of mine. If you haven't watched it and have the dvd plan, try it out.

Luther was amazing. Every episode felt like a movie and the seasons are so short it doesn't drag along at all.

british drama in general is like this. way better than american tv for the most part.

wallander is another show worth checking out... it's not as good as luther/sherlock/the fall, but way better than american cop shows.

Favorite of mine as well. And the timing (post 9/11) was perfect. Certainly an allegory for the War on Terror, at least for the first 2.5 seasons.
