Game time just announced
Finally not a road night game.
First since last trip to Cola
24 wins this one. We will score 31
They got banged up vs Notre Dame, including Hines not returning after a first quarter injury. If he’s out, we should win comfortably.
More of the first half play calling will win us another natty.
I don’t think the second half playcalling was bad. Seemed like we did dumb shit on the field to kill drives.
We just toyed with GT the second half. I agree we did some things in the second half to disrupt the rhythm we had but we were just playing with GT. All that mattered to me last night was seeing that KB was truly pretty healthy overall. He ran effectively and was sharp for the most part. We missed on some deeps balls but I'm not giving that much attention given the weather conditions. The defense got it's swag back and I'm upbeat/confident about this team going forward once again.
Looking towards NC State...they have messed up. Doeren making the comments he made post game about trying to knock Gallman out of the game last year will not be forgotten by this team and Dabo. Beyond that, NC State decided to schedule us for Homecoming this year. They done fucked up.
I forgot about the gallman thing.
Really hoping this will be our next "leave no doubt" game.
A quick refresher on what Doeren said postgame.
In response to a question about whether NC State did the things they needed to do to win, he responded “Yeah we did, you know I mean we knocked their tailback out of the game."
Then on Dabo's weekly call-in show he said he spoke to Doeren on the phone that day. However he did not elaborate any further than that. I'm guessing that was not a pleasant call.
Thought we were aggressive in the 2nd half. Dumb penalties and bad snaps killed drives though.
Cain false start
Cain pass interference
Holding on a run
Snap that hit Rodgers
That's just off the top of my head.
We took some shots though. Overall it was a good game plan, and frankly a lot more aggressive than the ND game two years
Our offense goes 3 and out entirely too often to beat a team like NCSU. They will have the best defense we've seen since Barn.
So excited for a 3:30 kick.
NC State stays in the top 25, another tombstone game.
Any word on Hines? Sprained ankles aren't fun, so I'm told.
Dirty Pack 13
Ooooh Killem Tigers 34
No way NC State gets up for this game after getting run through for 300+ yards on the ground by ND
Tigers by 21
They will be fired up. They win and they are in huge lead to win the Atlantic. Game has a ton riding on it for both teams. Basically this is equivalent to an ACC playoff game.
Who's going to the game? I'll be there.
Clemson will win big over NC State and VT will win big over Miami.
Actually, I think we need Miami to win out and then beat them in the championship game. Currently it's top heavy for the playoffs, and we may need a signature win against an undefeated team to get in.
Not so fast my friend. VT ain't winning.
Our resume already has us in. Win out and we are in 100%
Miami is a complete pretender. What's their best win?
They haven't beaten anyone yet, but if they beat VT and ND in the next two weeks they will have those wins.
Yea I'm guessing they will choke and fall flat. The next two weeks.
Yea I'm certainly not making a case for them, just that we will know who they are over the next two weeks.
No doubt they have had this game circled since last year, but the way I see it, Clemson may actually be more motivated than NCSU.
Don't forget (no matter how valid) the team has been hearing for a year now how we should have lost that game. Pair that with Doeren's comments about Wayne Gallman and you've got a recipe for a very violent Clemson team.
It will definitely be a hostile road environment and the stakes are high, and Dabo/Clemson knows how to handle big game pressure much better than that choke artist Dave.
*I feel pretty confident now but I'll probably flip-flop a few times before Saturday.
I live in the area but couldn't find tickets that weren't incredibly expensive.
I think the contrary. I think they are going to really amped for this game, knowing that everything is still on the table for them, revenge for last years game, and knocking off the reigning champs. Not to mention it being homecoming and they are coming off of a loss.
Love that we are their homecoming game as well. There's the Dabo motivation card.
