PSU also has American Eagle 9mm 100 rd boxes for 22.99. Federal .22LR 525 round boxes 42.99 about .08 per round. Edit they had to go to the back to get the 9mm so ask if they are no on the floor out front in Gvlle.

I know what you mean .I have a .22 magnum rifle, and pistol .Ammo is at least .30 to .50 cent A ROUND.if you can find it. I really want one of those Keltec PMR 30 pistols but 20 and 30 round clips can eat up ammo. I am afraid to shoot up what 22 magnum ammo I have it is so scarce.

I've been out of .22LR for over a year now because I can't force myself to buy more at that price.

I should have asked for some for Christmas

I tried getting some .22LR at a couple of stores in Greenville and the guy at Academy told me that every morning when they open, a group of guys come in and buy everything that comes in the prior evening. They take it to jockey lots, etc to sell it at huge markup.

they used to limit what amount you could buy. there are a few sites around you can get .22LR but shipping blows the price up. I have seen shipping for 500 rds of .22LR as high as 18 bucks.

I know who the person is that killed it but not personally. Was shocked to know that they might be on DVU if he is the one. I can tell u that deer was killed in Newberry county in the silverstreet area. The land is right across the road from the tract I hunt.

I live in the upstate of SC ,do any of you guys know where I can get 20 ga 3inch magnum shotshells in a bird shot? something from 6-8.5 shot . I have some but always try to pick up any I find. I have the sweetest Remington 1100 light 20 magnum that shoots as well as a 12ga for birds.

Fenced in deer are typically much bigger than that. Damn fine deer, but it's not in the upper 100s.

Nope not this guy unfortunately. I don't have that kind of fortune. Just a guy I know. My wife works with the girl who's husband killed it. I talked with him last night at their company Xmas party. Damn impressive rack. Deer itself only weighed 130 pounds. 6.5 years old. A drop tine deer is on my bucket list.

It's not abnormal for an old deer on the decline to lose weight. I'm no wildlife biologist though.

Shot in the end of the rut maybe. They can lose some weight for sure. That is really small for that rack

Awesome deer. Older deer like that will lose teeth/grind em down and it's not too surprising to see weight go down, but 130 is a little surprising. Got a few on camera around here similar to yours Pawpride. Best chance at killing a deer like that is when they're chasing a piece of splittail. Gets tough this late in year. Don't get that old by being stupid.

So, my weekend consisted of the following:
    • deer/hog hunting Friday afternoon- saw a couple young bucks but nothing else
    • quail hunt Saturday morning
    • deer/hog hunting Saturday afternoon - took a 200 lb boar and a decent buck
    • hog hunting with dogs Sunday morning - we jumped two 300+ hogs. One of which is below
    • Shower up and catch flight to Phoenix.

I should add, we went out both evenings with a AR-15 rigged with a ATN Thor 640 night scope looking for hogs with no luck. But that thing was bad fucking ass.

Probably the most applicable place to post this - has anyone bought an LED light bar for their ATV/UTV/truck/jeep? I am buying a Kubota RTV and want a solid light bar on the front and a smaller lumen bar on the back. Any suggestions on these or other accessories I should keep an eye out for?

Only thing I can add is don't buy cheap chinese light bars. I bought one that got water inside the housing and shorted out the first time we went out. I'm sure there's tons of good brands now that they're so popular but it's worth it to buy a decent brand. I know from using them that Rigid Industries makes great LED products

Rigid is one manufacturer I was looking at. They appear to be the top line guy. I am also looking at Black Oak LED. They seem to be equivalent in terms of their quality and are a little cheaper, but still on the upper end. Everyone seems to say good things about them in terms of price and quality.
