    What the shit, people?

Weather looks marginally better for Saturday than it did yesterday. Hopefully the trend continues. Sloppy weather favors the option game.

Sloppy weather favors our DL though to. I know it's cliche. However, if we play good assignment football defensively, we'll win by 2-3 scores. Come out like we did against Syracuse and it's going to be a long game.

IF the Clemson I expect to shows up after the bye week comes out, it's a blow out for us, 45-17. If it's the Cuse Clemson then i see a 28-24 game.

I'm hopeful the Cuse game has the same effect as Pitt did on us last year. If so, I weep for our opponents down the stretch.

I don't know what to expect from this team right now, but I'm hoping the Cuse game was an anomaly.

This game is about our offense. Defense should be fine but if we roll with ZC and give them a bunch of 3&outs, we'll get waxed.

If cooper starts it'll be another close one. GT is not the type of team you want to play close with their ball control. If a healthy bryant or Johnson starts I think it will be 1-2 TD win if the defense gets off the bus this time

Why are we so confident in Handjob again? Because of his 2 series against WF? Personally, I would like to see him over ZC if KB isn't available, but that's not to say I'm particularly confident that all of a sudden we'll be slinging the ball all over the field with authority or anything. Elliott and Scott have some headscratchers this season (probably last year too that Deshaun was able to cover up), but they're seeing something in practice that has ZC as the backup.

Haven't looked at TI--any updates on KB? Did he pass concussion protocol?

Dabo said he goes with Streeter's recommendation on who plays QB. For Syracuse, that was Cooper. That's why you have a QB coach, so there's gotta be something to it, you'd think.

No way in hell we score 45 unless we get defensive td's. I'd take a 24-10 win at this point.

I like this idea and I think it should be Gameplan A, but if GA Tech sells out to stop the run then I really want to see TE/JS have a Gameplan B that they go to instead of forcing Gameplan A no matter what.

CLEMSON - Co-offensive coordinator Tony Elliott met with the media Monday morning in the Poe Indoor Practice Facility, and he said that quarterback Kelly Bryant spent most of last week's practice sessions with the strength staff.

Bryant injured his ankle in the win over Wake Forest, re-injured the ankle at Syracuse and suffered a blow to the head that put him in the concussion protocol. As a result, backups Zerrick Cooper and Hunter Johnson took most of the snaps last week.

Elliott said Cooper and Johnson split the reps "pretty much" evenly. He also said as "far as I know" Bryant is out of concussion protocol.

I asked what keeps Cooper ahead of Johnson on the depth chart - he was listed as No. 2 Monday - and Elliott said that Cooper has a better grasp of the offense and more experience. More to come.

Gonna be a great tailgate Saturday. We went to Seattle to start our Pacific Coast Highway drive this summer and had the best chowder known to man. We're ordering some for the game Saturday. Gonna have some nice weather. Night game. The valley will be rocking etc.

[IMG] Tony Elliott on take aways of Syracuse loss
On Monday co-offensive coordinator Tony Elliott was asked if there was any certain take away he noticed from watching film from the Syracuse loss.

"I'll start with myself. I felt like I could've helped the guys more especially with snap count things. Trying to slow those guys down. Then also just finding ways to get back into rhythm. Trying to find the run game that was going to give us those 5, 6, 7 yard gains so we could stay ahead of the chains.

"Also took a couple of chances trying to go to the perimeter. That cost us some TFL's and anytime we get behind the chains it's hard to overcome that so really focusing on myself. Just making sure that I'm getting into a rhythm a little bit quicker into the game to help those guys out"

I don't get it. Why wouldn't our coaches have a policy in place where the opponent doesn't know any injury update?

I'm shocked at the confidence after watching our offense all year.

The line is what I expected, but we are not playing anywhere near championship level at the moment.

Do we really still have championship expectations for this season? I’d say “yes” for ACC Championship and beating SCar. But national championship is a bit far fetched given our offense.
