Josh Norman was a huge loss too
Panthers are trash. Newton deserves to suck
Sucks we are making the falcons actually look good.
Matt Ryan still sucks though
They will choke out in the playoffs, and it will be glorious
Didn't know we aren't calling pass interference in this game.
Beating that ass
Glad it cuts even deeper considering all the Clemson players the Falcons have
I'm finding it pretty hard to give a fuck about the NFL when Clemson is this good. The last few years I've watched less and less of their games. I don't even feel a little sad that the Panthers suck this year. It's kind of strange.
Takes a lot of effort for me to try send watch the Camthers, so I haven't seen a single game this year. Sucks they suck, but with injuries it's understandable
It absolutely is not understandable. This team was just as bad before Kuechly and co. went down. We gave up 300 yards to Julio last time we played the Falcons when we were pretty healthy.
Gettleman fucked us in the name of having a healthy locker room, which clearly was retarded. Shula went full retard on seemingly 80% of 4th and shorts, Cam regressed tremendously as a passer, Rivera had his stupid moments, it's unbelievable what happened to this team
Losing two starting corners and a d end from last year really transformed this defense in the form of a negative. Benjamin saying he hasn't been giving it his all this season till today pisses me the fuck off. Injuries played a role too but the front office lost this season. I was for letting Norman walk if we had a plan, we obviously didn't have a plan.
Isn't our oline decimated? The one game I watched they were discussing our 4th string center. If our OL is fucked, it makes sense.
The defense falling off isn't excused, I thought we had a plan since we let norman walk, apparently not.
We started the season 1-5, we were worse before our OL got decimated. As ct04 said, we had no plan for this season and panicked when suddenly we weren't beating everyone
That looks to be a pretty tough schedule
Get a chance to see Sammy back in the Carolinas.
The offense was pretty good to start the season. They scored 20, 46, 10, 14, 38 during the 1-5 start. Cam missed the 4 game against Tampa. JStew missed games 3-6. LT, Michael Oher got injured in Week 3 and has been out for the season. The injuries just continued to mount on the OL as the season progressed and the offense wasn't been able to put anything together behind this mash unit.
The problem early was the defense. They just were not good especially in they secondary. They also lost Bradberry who was quite good from the start as a rookie in the first series in Week 4. They were counting on Benwikere to be a good player, but he couldn't come back from his injury from last year. They were also getting next to no pass rush. Then the D started to get better as Bradberry/Worley started to find their stride and the pass rush started to improve primary due to Mario Addison, but by that point the O was in shambles due to all their injuries. Then Keuchly went down and the D took another step back although it is still better than it was at the start of the season.
I do think they should have resigned Josh Norman to the Franchise Tag and then let him go after this year, but I don't think it really would have mattered. Way to many injuries to seriously compete for anything this year. Team might have made the playoffs as a WC based on winning a couple more early in the season and been dispatched in the 1st Round.
Also the coaching staff didn't seem to be able to come up with any real plan to work through any of the issues.
Bump for people's thoughts on our draft and expectations for next year. Vegas set our over/under at 9 wins and the Falcons at 10.
Early gut says 10 wins and a wildcard spot. Depending on the offensive line, that can go up a few wins.
People are getting carried away with Tampa Bay bc of their draft, but I would pump the brakes on them. Thats a lot of hope riding on Winston.
All depends on the OL. And I just don't buy how McCaffrey is going to translate to the NFL.
What do we need to do to shore up the OL and do y'all anticipate Boulware making the team/impact at any point?
I think Vegas had Tampa Bay and I know for sure the Saints below us as far as W/L goes on the over/under fwiw. From what I can gather we'll likely be in the mix for a wild card. That would be fine with me. Anything is better than last year. What a dumpster fire the 2016 became.
It was a bad draft class for us. We needed OL and there weren't any
Best one I saw said Cam is gonna be throwing to Queen Latifah this season
How can you let yourself get like that when you're paid millions to be a professional athlete? It's infuriating
I saw the Panthers' facebook page post some interview with KB about how hard he was working, several days after the first photos of his fat ass were posted online. I laughed.
He's always been huge
There is a difference between a big wr and a 275lb wr
Reminds me of this
Gettleman relieved of his duties today. The fuck?
New GM will give Olsen and Davis deals that are bad for the team I would almost guarantee.
Something bad must have happened very recently for them to part ways at this time. I have no evidence to base this on but for some reason I am thinking a potential sexual harassment lawsuit.
