Not sure if serious.
We clearly don't out-talent people, either. Everyone can see when you look at the NFL draft on a yearly basis, you just don't see many Clemson players or any Clemson players at all.
3 points vs 100 points is coaching and not talent??
Best part of that video is Dexy shucking that center to the ground.
nah, the power rangers celebration thing wilkins does...
Nah, that stuff is really weird.
When did they switch that new trophy?
Larry made a comment that if you put a #4 on his jersey there....you wouldn’t know the difference between he and Watson. On that play (and only that play).....I agree.
Going to need that Kelly Bryant in the sugar bowl
If we get that Kelly B we win by 30
During the rain/snow yesterday, I went back and watched the Auburn and Louisville games. Forgot how many great throws he had in those game too. He was dropping dimes in those too, with a few of the short outs and screens being overthrown.
I feel like he makes much better throws when he's outside the pocket. When he has time in the pocket he overthinks, or something.
Look at the throw to Renfrow against SC. He wasn't thinking, just naturally reacted and made a play. Granted, Renfrow did a great job coming back inside, but still.
However, I will say, my favorite throw he has made all year was that pass over the middle to Higgins where J. King held Higgens. I'm sure there are more, but that one is fresh in my mind.
It likely boils down to going against our d-line in practice and the pocket collapsing earlier than in games. His timer goes off a second too early in games,I've noticed.
He's amazing at throwing on the run
Bryant has shown the ability to make all the throws. He’s had some amazing passes this year whether inside the pocket or not. He’s just been inconsistent. I think there are a few factors to that.
For one, it’s his first year starting. Just because he’s a Jr. doesn’t mean he’s experienced. Also, as great as Falcinelli has been blocking, his errant snaps I think are part of the reason Bryant has struggled on the short screen passes. Also have to add in the fact he’s been injured.
I’m not trying to make excuses for him. I just think there have been a lot of factors that have led to some of the inconsistency. My main point is I do not think Bryant has reached his ceiling as a passer.
And a 3rd stringer!
I think he will be a good player if he stays his whole career and sticks with it. Him and Pinckney will be nice backup options at NG next season.
@NST Seeing that clip of Johnson, what is your opinion on Todd Bates so far; or is it too early to tell?
I've liked what I've seen from Pinckney and Huggins when they get snaps.
agreed. he's big and athletic.
Hard to say. I think he's doing ok. Starters were already well established studs, and there are lots of injuries at backup DE and so those spots get a mulligan, but the DT rotation is looking pretty good.
I would say he’s at least above average. Easy to coach talent. But he replaced maybe the best dt coach in the game
This Miami fan seems to think the corrupt ACC screwed them out of the ACC championship:
