I think our program is at the point we can get great character guys who are great players as well. Guys that can be leaders in the meeting rooms.

    Tre Lamar
    Amari Rodgers
    Christian Wilkins
    Dorian Odaniel

Sure we still have savages like Muse or Cain...but we need savages just like we need the leaders....

I think our stature is one now that we can bring in great culture fits without them being SoCon level prospects...

Of course. If we only had 5-6 “culture fits” in the locker room, the team would be a dumpster fire.

Why are we so sure Spector is bad? Not highly rated by the bloggers?

I guess that if I’m not super Disney about every aspect of Clemson’s football program I get shit.

This isn’t a Georgia board. No one has been more vocal about Georgia’s mediocrity than me. But you got me good.

We all know you're still getting over the scars of Richt recruiting. It's ok to be wrong when Clemson has a winning formula in recruiting, and the results to back it up.

:haha: Still not sure what anything here has to do with georgia, Richt, etc.

As an outsider, it seems like Clemson should be doing better. Just an opinion. No reason for you to get so upset about it.

Even then, there are only so many balls to go around. But i think he's a future DB.

We could probably sign higher rated krewts there too, but I'm generally ok with him and his brother.

We've had some really good players at both LB and DB under Venables that werent particularly highly rated as recruits, and I'm ok with us continuing to wet the beak in that talent pool.

We’ve been bitching about Dabo’s Method for 10 years now. You have no idea honestly. The reality though despite all his offers to players we don’t deem worthy, the majority of them end up contributing in some way. You’re somewhat new to Clemson recruiting so it’s not surprising from an outside perspective you are confused. This is the norm, and honestly it’s retarded to argue with the results so far.

Stanton Seckinger scored key touchdowns to beat UGA and 0hi0. Hunter Renfrow is hunter Renfrow, and Adam humphries is (I think) the last clemson player to house a punt. Ryan Carter is currently our best cornerback. I realize you can't win with 85 or even 25 of these types, but I also realize that we're not trying to.

I guess what I'm saying is that I have no idea if this guy is good but I really don't care if nobody else has offered him or that he's unknown by the bloggers and Jake Scott.

Boggs has been a stud LB for App St.
Joseph was the right take but Boggs is a good player.

I’m fine with the program and I agree Dabo is free to do what he wants.

I disagree with the message board sunshine pumper take that Dabo offering legacy guys is the key ingredient to our success because they have such great character and work ethic and too many good players would ruin our culture. I also disagree with lumping players like Carter and Joseph in the discussion, those guys earned scholarships on their own merit and they earned them later in the process. We have gotten a lot of good guys later in the process, like Carter and ETN that have fit right in and been great players for us.

If you want to say Dabo has earned the right that’s fine.

No one is saying it's the key ingredient but it is definitely an ingredient. Swinney has done a great job of building this program into something that looks and feels different than other programs. The makeup of our roster plays into that.

Richt was either an atrocious recruiter or they are playing in the gray a little bit. Maybe a combo of both.

What is Kirby selling right now (not being condescending) that is working so well? Help us get over the hump/SEC/Athens/playing time etc?

Obviously your RB position recruits itself.
